With just a day left until the Baker-Crawford Wedding – the Comfort Suites Wedding Reception is almost set up!

The venue looks beautiful and all we need is a bride and groom!!!

Rehearsal dinner gathering this evening at our place…. Then it’s off to Hendrick’s chapel for the rehearsal…..

…and then it’s goodbye for us…

…and see you at the altar, baby!!!

It’s finally here. The time has finally come.

I can’t believe it! It’s Sunday…and we’re getting married this Saturday!!! It’s crazy! Everything is finally coming together, and other than the little things like getting my nails done and such….everything is done.

We look forward to seeing all of you this weekend! I hope you’re all ready for a good time

Talked to Southern Wine & Spirits and they are going to be the sole supplier of choice of wine at our reception!  You will absolutely LOVE the wines we’ve picked out.  They are some of our favorites, so we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!  And they’re very reasonably priced…. So if you’re having a wedding reception — ask for Southern Wines by name!  And if you need any help in selecting any … or getting in touch with Southern Wine, just ask me!  I’d be happy to help!

Thank you Thank you Southern Wine & Spirits for giving me a piece of good news today.  These people are great  — truly.  Everyone i’ve ever dealt with there has been fantastic… the reps… the managers… everyone I’ve ever come in contact with over the years has been straight up great.

We have specifically requested Southern Wines at our wedding….. They have a great selection of things we like….. (Rex Goliath… YUM!!!!  Simply Naked?  Even the name screams FUN!)  — they’re easy to work with — they’re delicious — great selection — and not to mention a great price!!!!

Anyone who knows me would be shocked at how dollars-and-cents conscious I am with this….. Not that I use dollar bills for toilet paper or anything, but I am not usually penny wise.  With this wedding and all the incidental expenses that add up to thousands and thousands before you know it — I’ve had to be.  I want the best deal for what we want.  We want Southern and I know they have great wines at VERY competitive prices.  I dont want to get stuck with Franzia at the price we’re paying!  (not that Franzia isn’t the country’s biggest wine producer…. it’s just not our style!)

So a big shout out to Southern Wine & Spirits for sending me a piece of good news on all this!!!!!!!!

Maybe it’s all uphill from here?

I haven’t seen a lot of the Crawford side of the family in AGES… some of them I haven’t ever seen!!!! We got a YES from Chuck & Becky who are coming in from out-of-town!! It’s very exciting!!! My dad hasn’t seen them in forever and what better excuse to see family than his son’s wedding!?!?

I wanted to clarify for everyone what “our favorite chicken rollatini” is all about!

Chef Bart delivered to us a fantastic Chicken Dish that is a far cry from the typical.  It may not be for everyone, but it is delicious!!

It’s actually a Chicken Involtini rather than a Rollatini – but most people (including us!) have never heard of Chicken INVOLTINI….. so here’s a quick description….

This is rolled chicken breast pieces with an italian ham (like parma/prosciutto except very lean and not as salty!) and basil.  These rolled pieces of delicious chicken are over utica greens….. which some people probably haven’t heard of either!  It’s escarole sauteed with garlic, bread crumbs, parmesean cheese with a dash of hotness — not too hot — but just right!

Of course we have also selected the favorite “filet mignon” which will be prepared medium unless you absolutely request it another way.

And lastly, we opted for the chilean sea bass as the fish selection!

If anyone needs to change their food selection – let us know ASAP!  We need to let the caterer know the final counts soon!!

And if you haven’t sent back your response cards – PLEASE DO SO !!!!!!  41 days and counting!!!!
